Penny Hackett
President

Penny Hackett has worked as a lawyer in the financial services and banking industries for over 30 years and is presently legal counsel for a funds management and corporate finance business. Penny has professional qualifications in law and economics  and is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Penny has been heavily involved in the not-for-profit sector over the last 15 years, initially in the area of public education funding and student capacity in NSW public schools.

Since getting involved with Dying with Dignity NSW in 2017, she has been involved in all aspects of campaigning for voluntary assisted laws, including as part of the leadership of the Voluntary Euthanasia Party which sought to keep the need for law reform on the political agenda.
